Valdera is an important part of the Southern Province of Pisa extending geographically between Pisa, the city of the worldwide famous Leaning Tower, and Volterra, one of the most important Etruscan cities in Tuscany. Just a few people know that this is the area of the Industry Piaggio and its Vespa moped, one of the most well-known products of Italian industrial design. But above all this is the land of small medieval villages built on the top of the gentle hills as well as the land of good wine, olive oil, pasta, cherries and chocolate!

Valdera is the basin of the river Era, located just ½ hour from Pisa, Livorno, Volterra or San Gimignano, 1 hour from Florence and Lucca, 1 ½ hours from Siena. Local trains every half an hour from and to Pisa and Florence are easy to take at the nearest railway station Pontedera.
