- We collect you on the pier in Livorno in the morning. We are a private English-speaking tour leader (also French, German, Spanish, Italian or Russian available) and a private chauffeur and we meet you at your ship and stay with you for the whole day.

- The chauffeur drives us on private car or van to Riomaggiore, the first of the 5 picturesque towns Cinque Terre on the cliffs of the Riviera Ligure. Here we do a walking visit to the town. Riomaggiore is an amazing little fisher settlement where you can take unique pictures and taste some delicious ice cream!

- The trip goes no with an enchanting walk along a panoramic pathway on the cliffs called Via dell'Amore (the way of love) from Riomaggiore to Manarola. The walk only takes 20-30 minutes but it is for people that can walk without impedements.

- In Manarola we take a little ferry for a short boat ride to Monterosso. It is the perfect occasion to see the other villages from the coast!

- Lunch takes place in a beautiful restaurant with tasting of the locally produced Sciacchetrà liquor wine; after lunch the minivan collects us in Monterosso.

- In the afternoon we drive to Portovenere and visit the picturesque town in front of the Isle Palmaria. Here you have free time for shopping;

- Return to Livorno is scheduled by the ship departure;

PRIVATE CHEESE FARM TOUR IN THE RURAL TUSCANY AND
VISIT TO VOLTERRA

- We collect you on the pier in Livorno in the morning. We are a private English-speaking tour leader (also French, German, Spanish, Italian or Russian available) and a private chauffeur and we meet you at your ship and stay with you for the whole day.

- The chauffeurs drives us on private car or van to an organic cheese farm in the area of the Pisan hills, one hour from Livorno. The farm is a genuine and authentic place where you can meet sheep, horses, donkeys, pigs as well as cats and dogs in real!

- The visit to the organic farm starts with an inspection into the dairy to see how aged pecorinos and fresh ricottas are made. Then we walk to sheep shed and see the lamb nursery and the milking facility. After meeting the other beautiful animasl we sit at the restaurant for a lunch based on excellent pecorino cheeses and locally produced hams and salamis!

- After lunch we move to the Etruscan town Volterra, only 10 minutes far. In Volterra we walk in the old town with stop at the major monuments and panoramic places. Some free time for shopping is available before getting back to Livorno.

The house is in a peaceful and panoramic setting, ideal for unique pictures. We have quick look at the surroundings and then we enter a fully equipped kitchen and start our cooking class.

- We give you your aprons and hats and then we start a three-hour hands-on cooking class with a local cook. You prepare dishes of the real local tradition: you learn a lot of useful tricks and make some delicious dishes using only fresh and genuine ingredients. The preparation includes appetizers, primo and secondo main courses and a dessert. From the vegetable cleaning to the finishing touches you will learn all the secrets of the authentic Tuscan cuisine!

CHOCOLATE WORKSHOP HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE AND VISIT TO THE LEANING TOWER OF PISA

- Our driver brings us by car or van to an excellent chocolate factory in a little town between Pisa and Florence;

- You wear your aprons and start a two-hour chocolate making experience in the workshop. After a quick theoretical introduction to the world of cocoa beans, from the raw material to the refined chocolate, you start working with proper chocolate and professional tools. You experience a lot of interesting procedures, from the processing of several cocoa blends till the refined chocolate creations. In this activities you learn to make your own chocolate delicacies. When your nougat bonbons are ready, you can pack them and bring them home. While doing all these creations you taste many varieties of chocolate;

- The chocolate experience is followed by a 30 minute transfer to Pisa, where we have lunch in a selected restaurant in the old town. In the afternoon you have guided visit to the Piazza dei Miracoli and climbing on the spectacular leaning tower. Free shopping in town;

PRIVATE LUCCA SIGHTSEEING TOUR BY BIKE

- The chauffeur drives us on private car or van to Lucca, where we meet with a local official city guide. She brings us to collect the bikes and gives us a first introduction to the history of the town.

- We carry out a two-hour biking excursion along the huge city fortifications with stops on the bastions for pictures and further explanations. The city guide diverts also into the downtown to visit to the monumental places of Lucca on bike.

- After the biking tour, a typical lunch in a famous Luccan restaurant with local specialities and excellent wines is scheduled. You can taste some rare specialities of the town like the delicious zuppa di farro, a spelt soup with legumes. In the afternoon you have some free time for shopping in town. Lucca has always been a merchant town and its historical shops are a major part of its fascination!

WINE TASTING, VISIT TO A PASTA FACTORY AND TO A MEDIEVAL CASTLE

- The chauffeur drives us on private car or van to a beautiful and picturesque town close to Pisa, where a world famous family-run pasta factory has its premises. We visit the past workshop and see how the machinery runs.

- The Visit to the old town continues with the entrance to the Castle of the Vicars, in top of the medieval hamlet. We walk through panoramic castle walls, into the old rooms and down to the underground dungeons, once called "the Hell". Before leaving the town we also taste a locally produced cherry liquor.

- We move on to a small wine farm of the area of the Pisan hills and here we have a visit to the premises with their cellars and the enchanting panoramic garden. The property prepares a lunch in the farm with tasting of their excellent white and red wines; after lunch there is time for some relaxation and little walks around the property.

- Return to Livorno by the ship departure.

PRIVATE FLORENCE SIGHTSEEING AND SHOPPING TOUR

- Our chauffeur drives us on private car or van to Florence where we meet a local licensed city guide and proceed for a sightseeing walking tour in the old town for 3 hours. You experience the most beautiful attractions in town like the sumptuous cathedral Santa Maria del Fiore, the majestic Palazzo Vecchio and the picturesque Ponte Vecchio. Please, note that the entrances to the major museums, like Uffizi or Museo dell'Accademia, are not included but can be booked in advance to avoid hour-long queues.

- After the visit to the town a full lunch in a typical restaurant with local specialities is served together with a tasting of delicious Tuscan wines.

- The afternoon is dedicated to shopping: you visit the most beautiful shops in the town selling leather goods, gold jewelry, fashionable shoes and clothes in company with your tour leader.

- Return to Livorno by the ship departure;

I wanted to thank you again for the wonderful experience my wife and I had in Tuscany in October 2009. The tour you and your fantastic staff arranged for us during our brief stay in tuscany was memorable and unforgettable.
We were picked up and driven to Pontadera (Home of Vespa) for a tour of the Vespa Museum and then jumped on our vespa to tour the countryside of Tuscany on our own (with a little help from your laminated directions).
I want you to know that that day was the absolute highlight of our entire Mediteranean cruise and one day which will be with us both forever.
