Exhibition:
Chagall e il Mediterraneo in Palazzo BLU

From 9th October
2009 to 17th January 2010 the charming Palazzo
Blu in Pisa hosts a unique exhibition by
Russian artist Chagall titled "Chagall
e il Mediterraneo", coordinated by
Claudia Zevi and Meret Meyer.
150 works exhibited, including
paintings, sculptures, ceramics and boards,
selected from the most important public
institutions in France like the Musée
National Marc Chagall in Nizza, the
Centre Pompidou in Parigi, the Musée
Matisse in Le Cateau Cambrésis
and from private collections. All the works
were created by the artist from 1926 on,
when he saw the colors and light of the
Mediterranean sea for the first time.
A charming
exhibition rout across five main topics
characterizing the art of Chagall after
leaving Russia in exile.
