Giovanna
is a peaceful farmstay in the
hilly territory around Palaia. It
is a really amusing place for families
with children thanks to its familiar
atmosphere and to an Alpaca breeding,
one of the very few ones in Italy.
The farm produces excellent olive
oil, fruit and vegetables as well
as a special wool. All the organic
food produced by the owner Luca is
also used to prepare delicious meals
served in the small restaurant
of the property. The farm is equipped
with the most advanced power technologies
like solar panels and biomass boilers
supplying hot water and heating. The
resort is particularly advisable for
children who want to discover unknown
animals like alpacas but also a Tibetan
goat and a horse. Accommodation
is provided in two apartments
(one with one double bedroom, one
with two double bedrooms) with private
bathrooms and kitchen, or in 2
double bedrooms with ensuite bathroom.
An open barbecue, a stone
oven and an organic plot
are available for the guests. The
property is in a very comfortable
position, 30 minutes far from Pisa
or Lucca and less than one hour from
Florence, Volterra, San Gimignano
and the Thyrrhenian coast.
