The
wonderful property Andrea is a luxury
resort in the middle of the Chianti
area just outside a historical
town along the main highway joining
Florence with Siena. The complex is
made of three large buildings
of different origins and historical
meanings: a former Benedictine
monastery (from the 12th century),
a Renaissance villa and a Colonica
house, a typically Tuscan stone
country house. All around is a large
private park of century-old trees,
where a large panoramic pool paved
in travertino marble is situated.
The rooms in the monastery are paved
with parquet and fitted with modern
and sober furniture. The Renaissance
villa has got luxury rooms decorated
with precious tapestry, antique furniture
and bathrooms in pink marble. The
rooms in the Colonica are equipped
in typical Tuscan style with sunbeam
ceilings and cotto flooring. The whole
complex hosts 30 bedrooms of
different categories, all with
ensuite bathroom with either hydromassage
shower or bathtub. All the units are
equipped with Sat-TV, mini-bar,
hair dryer, heating and airconditioning,
electronic safe, modem connection
and personalized cosmetic line.
In the whole resort it is possible
to surf the web through wireless
Internet connection.
In the complex guests can taste the
best specialities of the Chianti region
in a renowned restaurant hosted
in the old cellar of the villa. The
cuisine is based on local products
and all dishes are matched with the
great wines produced in the surroundings.
The cloister of the monastery
is the ideal location for romantic
candle-light dinners and culinary
events.
Andrea is also the ideal location
for incentive travels, meetings and
conferences thanks to a large
and fully equipped conference room
with a capacity of 180 people. The
resort is also ideal for weddings
and any sort of gastronomy event.
From the country hotel it is very
easy to reach Siena and Florence as
well as other historical jewels of
Tuscany like San Gimignano, Volterra
and the Valdorcia towns.
