Villa
Marilu' is a recently restored
and highly refined country
cottage of 97 square metres (1,044
square feet). The two-storey semi-detached
house is part of an old farmhouse
located just 1.5 kms (1 mile) from
the medieval town Peccioli, in the
Southern Province of Pisa, 40 kms
from Pisa, and 16 kms from the nearest
highway. On the ground floor is a
large open space: a living
room with a Tuscan open fireplace
and a rural style kitchen with
gas cookers, basin, oven, fridge,
freezer and dishwasher. A small
toilet with shower is just next
to an inner spiral staircase leading
up to the first floor. On the first
floor is a studio room with
a sofa and a large open fireplace
and another entrance through an outer
large staircase. Next is a comfortable
double bedroom. All rooms are
painted and furnished in a refined
Tuscan rural style and all furnishing
is original antique. The two
floors can be separated into two different
units.
The property includes a 80 sqmt two-storey
hut (with permission for renovation)
and a small restored agricultural
annexe. Together with the house
is a hectare of land all around:
a large garden, a vineyard
producing 350/400 litres of wine per
year, an olive grove with 60
olive trees, an orchard with
cherry, peach, nut and apricot trees
and 250 square metres of plot. The
large private garden fits a swimming
pool (permission available). An original
wood oven (communal property) just
opposite the entrance of the house
is also available.
