ABOUT THE TRUFFLE FESTIVAL

Every year the medieval town San Miniato, located between Pisa and Florence, celebrates a national festival that attracts truffle lovers from all the world. The specialty of the area is the extraordinary white truffle of San Miniato.
On three weekends in November you can taste and buy fresh white truffle and discover an amazing range of truffle-based products produced locally like cheese, salamis, truffle & mushroom paste etc..

ABOUT OUR PACKAGE

- If you wish to visit the truffle festival of San Miniato, we organize a full package for you including accommodation with breakfast in self-catering apartments in a wonderful and panoramic historical country villa just 8 kms from San Miniato. Accommodation is for 2 nights and it is possible to rent apartments with one or two double bedrooms. Breakfast always included.
- The package includes a delicious welcome dinner in a local restaurant, within driving distance from the villa, with truffle specialities and a bottle of excellent local wine.
- In order to discover San Miniato and its treasures, a half-day tour to the Festival with a personal English speaking tour guide (also German, Spanish, French, Italian or Russian available) is included in the offer. The guide shows you the festival and the medieval town San Miniato for 3 hours. The guide meets you at your apartment and sits in your car, leading you to the parking area. Meanwhile she/he gives you an introduction to the history, art and culture of the region. Included in the tour is also a tasting of many local specialties based on truffle, available at the stands of the festival.
