TO TERRICCIOLA
We
arrange a wine tour for you and
your party to two very charming
wine estates in the area of Terricciola,
between Pisa and Volterra, often called
the "new chianti" area.
Many wines produced here are being
awarded as excellent supertuscans
and the proximity to the coast gives
them special tones that many wine
lovers find fantastic.
Our
wine tour can start directly from
your premises (see transportation
box below for further details) or
from an agreed meeting point: our
English speaking personal tour leader
(also German, Spanish, French,
Italian or Russian available) meets
you and brings you to the wineries.
On the way to there, the tour leader
gives you general and historical
information about the region and
the art of winemaking. It is the
best way for you to discover this
enchanting world, deeply rooted
in the local tradition of Tuscany.
The
tour includes the visit to a beautiful
wine cellar belonging to a very
old and historical estate. In
this property is also a 12th century
monastery with a very charming
cloister and a picturesque
little rural church. The wine
tasting of the first winery takes
place in a panoramic tasting room
on top of the cellar and is accompanied
by some snacks like cheese, salami,
ham and focaccia.
The tour continues with the visit
to a second very modern winery,
whose premises are mostly all underground.
The facility has a wonderful view
over its vineyards and is the
starting point of a nice walk between
the vine rows together with the winemaker.
The visit to the premises is followed
by a unique wine tasting in a very
charming tasting room.
In both places some food is provided
to accompany the wine tasting.
Yet if you prefer to taste some local
specialities, we can arrange a lunch
in a very good restaurant in the area.

wine areas of Tuscany. Our customizes
wine tours can be arranged in the
Chianti Classico area, in the Montalcino
and Montepulciano area as well as
the Florence hills and the Siena hills.
You can choose to visit small family
run wineries as well as wine-making
cooperatives working on a large scale.

please consider a 20 Eur surcharge
on the total price for the tour
