PROGRAM
If you are visiting Pisa and you want
to experience the excellent production
of wine and cheese of Terricciola,
one of the "wine towns" of Tuscany
just 40 km away from Pisa, join our
thursday afternoon tours! We bring
you to the best wineries of the area and
to a prestigious biodynamic dairy farm
in a charming hilly territory, where you
can taste local wine, cheese and bakery
products.
Our
Italian, English and German speaking guide
meets you at the central station of Pisa
at 2 pm and brings you to Terricciola
on a minivan, minibus or a bus. During
the trip you get to know a lot of interesting
facts and information regarding the rural
area of the Pisan Hills before getting
to taste its best products.
The tour program includes:
• 2 pm: departure from the central
station of Pisa and transfer to Terricciola
(a second pick-up point will be in the
area of Pontedera/Valdera);
• 3:15 pm: visit to one of the prestigious
wineries of Terricciola with explanations
of the wine making process and tasting
of wines and bakery products. The winery
is a different one every Thursday;
• 4:30 pm: visit to the old town
Terricciola, to an Etruscan tomb in its
underground and walk along a very panoramic
promenade with an enchanting view over
Volterra;
• 5:30: visit to a dairy farm inside
a fascinating rural hamlet and tasting
of biodynamic cheese;
• Return to Pisa by 7:30 pm.
Meeting
point : Pisa - Square in front of
the Central Railway Station - 2 pm.
End of tour: 7:30 pm
