Pasta experiences in Tuscany
UNIQUE PASTA FACTORY & PASTA MUSEUM
Pasta is one of Italy’s most iconic foods, from Penne to Spaghetti to Farfalle, it’s loved all over the world. But truly excellent pasta comes from producers who carefully select natural ingredients and follow time-honored methods with great attention to detail.
This experience invites you to dive into the fascinating world of pasta at one of our favorite Tuscan pasta factories. The visit begins at the factory’s own Pasta Museum, where you’ll discover historic machinery and tools once used in pasta production. You will then step inside the working factory itself, following the journey of pasta through its different stages, from production areas to the packaging rooms.
Founded in 1860, this family-owned company is now run by the fifth generation and remains deeply rooted in tradition. During the visit, you’ll learn how pasta dough is mixed, shaped, and slowly dried, and why factors such as timing, temperature, and patience are essential to achieving superior quality. You’ll also see the production machines in action and understand how traditional craftsmanship is seamlessly combined with modern technology to preserve excellence over time.
You can combine this experience with other interesting activities:
- Add a lunch at the company’s restaurant. It is highly recommended, with several menu options to choose from. (code MO2-MO3-MO4)
To fully experience the region and discover its local traditions, explore charming Tuscan villages and savor exceptional food and wine. Enhance your visit to the Pasta Factory, Museum, and lunch by adding one of the following experiences:
- If you have passion for quality wine & local history, we can add a guided winery visit and wine tasting at an amazing historic estate (code F30)
- For history & culture lovers, we suggest to add a guided tour of the majestic town of San Miniato and its monuments, just a short distance away. (code G26)
- If you enjoy hands-on experiences, don’t miss our pasta-making class at the restaurant of the pasta company, followed by a delicious pasta-based lunch. (code MO5)
- Vespa lovers can add a very exclusive Vespa tour, including a visit to a local butcher with a tasting of a unique type of Prosciutto, perfectly complementing the pasta experience. (code K14)
