Vinci Countryside: Wine & Sweet Traditions
WINE ESTATE EXPERIENCE
Your journey begins in the heart of the Tuscan countryside, in a family-run wine estate near Vinci.
After a warm welcome, you will enjoy a relaxed walk through the vineyards and the estate, surrounded by olive trees and peaceful landscapes, up to the lake. Along the way, we share the story of the family, the land, and the traditions that shape this place.
We then continue with a stop at the vegetable garden, where you can pick fresh tomatoes and experience a simple moment of Tuscan life. Here you will also enjoy traditional bruschetta called “pane strusciato” with tomato, olive oil, and salt, prepared in a rustic and authentic way.
The experience continues with a guided tasting of local wines, paired with a traditional Tuscan light lunch. A moment to slow down, enjoy, and connect with the land through its flavours.
Tuscan sweets workshop experience
We then move into the world of traditional Tuscan pastry in a small family-run workshop.
Here you will meet Valentina and Leonardo, and discover how local biscuits are made using simple, high-quality ingredients and traditional methods passed down through generations. You will meet the artisans and see the daily production up close, including the famous "brigidini", thin crispy wafers flavoured with anise, prepared with traditional tools and techniques.
The experience includes a tasting of different homemade biscuits and local sweets, followed by a hands-on activity where you can prepare cantuccini or a special "Biscotto di Leonardo" inspired by Renaissance recipes.
At the end, we enjoy everything together with tea or coffee in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Free time in Vinci
After the experiences, you will have some free time to explore the village of Vinci at your own pace.
Take a relaxed walk through the small historic center, enjoy the quiet atmosphere, browse local shops, or simply sit and enjoy a coffee in the main square. A simple moment to experience the authentic charm of Leonardo's hometown before departure.
In our tour we like showing you places off the beaten track and introducing you to Tuscan people with their personal stories, careers and characters.
You will have one of our guides with your party during the whole tour. Please, see below all the guides who can be with you.
