THE MOST TYPICAL EXCURSION IN THE COUNTRYSIDE
A lovely excursion surrounded by nature, beautiful horses, gentle ponies, farm animals, and patient instructors. The property is a family-run farm near the small village of Lari and is ideal for families with young children. Beginners are very welcome.
Carlotta and Anna will welcome you and introduce you to the horses, as well as to the other farm animals and pets such as goats, hens, cats, and more.
The itinerary will be arranged according to the participants' level. Each riding experience starts with a 20–30 minute introduction at the ranch, followed by the ride. This can be an easy ride through the gentle Tuscan hills, also suitable for beginners, or a more adventurous experience for advanced riders.
For young children and guests who are not ready to ride independently, the activity can be replaced with a training session inside the riding center, offering a more basic and relaxed approach. In this case, participants will have the opportunity to pet the horses, brush them, groom them, clean them, and feed them. They may also try sitting on the horse for a very easy walk within the enclosed arena.
To complete the experience, you can add a refreshing aperitivo at the ranch or enjoy a picnic in the hills.
Young children are welcome with special programs for them only.

Although Nazanin had some problems with her wrist and her back we managed to walk a little around in pisa and florence before we went back.

This tour includes horse riding in the countryside on terrain that's not always flat, and a few more challenging stretches. LOCATION OF THE ACTIVITY:
Our horse riding excursions take place at an agriturismo in the countryside between Volterra and Pisa.
MEET-UP LOCATION:
Unless differently specified, the meeting point with horse riding teacher is at horse back riding center close to Lari . Detailled instructions will be provided.
DURATION:
The duration depends on the type of the activity. Time for reaching the meeting point not included.
AVAILABILITY:
Available all the year through. Availability is subject to weather conditions and to the timetable at the riding ground. Please, define timings at the booking procedure.
LANGUAGE:
This excursion is available in English or Italian with no surcharge.

CHILD FRIENDLY:
Ideal for children. There are ponies available for children.
CLOTHING:
Comfortable clothes are recommended. To avoid bites of insects, sandals, shorts and T-shirts are not suitable.
ALLERGIES:
Riders must bring any drug they make use of in case of allergies. They also must inform the guides in case of allergies towards common medicines.
TRANSPORTATION:
This program and its rates do not include transportation to the meeting point and are set on a self-driving base. For further information see the box "transportation options".
The destinations reached during this activity are in the Tuscan countryside, in areas off the beaten track that cannot be reached by public transport. We highly recommend renting a car or a scooter in order to reach them. As an alternative, we can offer a valued service by chauffeured car, van or minibus. Any cost of transportation is to be added to the rates displayed on the rate table of this page.
